Hypnosis for Insomnia Relaxation and Sleep
Hello…this is Joanne from Relax For A While…and I have created this guided sleep hypnosis
meditation just for you…so that as you listen to the hypnotic suggestions…you will relax
deeply so you can drift off into a deep sound restorative sleep… So begin by settling in…getting really comfortable…and
when you’re ready…slowly close your eyes…and just follow my voice… You may begin to notice the sounds around
you…the sounds that are close by….and the sounds that are further away…but these
sounds don’t disturb you…in fact…these sounds are helping you relax and feel sleepy… And as you follow my voice…these sounds
will slowly slowly begin to fade away into the background…and the only sound that you
will follow…is the sound of my voice…because you know that by following my voice…you
will begin to relax and let go… And as you lie here in your bed…you may
begin to notice the feeling of your head on your pillow…and as the pillow cradles your
head…you may even to begin to notice the heaviness as your head gives way to this feeling
of relaxation… And as you continue to relax…you may even
begin to notice the feeling of your arms resting gently at your sides…noticing how they are
feeling…perhaps they too are feeling heavy…as they give way to this feeling of comfort… And any tension in your arms…or hands…simply
melt away…feeling more comfortable…as your arms and hands come to rest…feeling
completely at ease and relaxed… And as this feeling of relaxation continues
to spread…you may even begin to notice your feet…as they lay here loosely falling to
the sides…you may notice that there may be tension in your feet…and that’s OK…because
you know that if there is any tension in your body…you know how to let it fade away…as
you drift deeper and deeper into that peaceful state of trance… And as you continue to drift deeper into this
tranquil state…you may even notice the feelings in your chest and your abdomen…and the growing
comfort that is beginning to spread here…warm soothing relaxation…as you continue to become
more and more deeply relaxed… And as this feeling of comfort continues to
deepen…you notice that your breathing is slowing down…feeling easy and comfortable
with each breath you take…as you relax more and more…breathing slowly and steadily and
relaxing completely… Even your heartbeat is slow and steady…as
you drift deeper and deeper into this peaceful state…with your whole body relaxing and
letting go.. Because you know that there is nothing left
for you to do now…except to relax…and you can connect fully with your body…tuning
in to the sensations that are arising right now as you relax…tuning in to the top of
your scalp…your brow…your eyes…getting heavier and heavier…your neck…shoulders…your
arms and hands…more and more comfortable…more and more relaxed…your chest…your belly…soft
and relaxed…your back…hips…legs…and feet…so heavy…so relaxed… Nothing for you to do now…except to let
go and relax…and enjoy this feeling of deep deep comfort and relaxation…this feeling
that is all yours to enjoy…the feeling of comfort and peace from the top of your head…all
the way down to your toes… Let this feeling of comfort settle in even
more deeply using your breath…by taking some slow deep breaths now…breathing in
all the way up to the top of your head…and breathing out all the way down to the tips
of your toes… With each breath…your relaxation deepens
even more…breathing in…and breathing out… And I wonder if you can imagine now…lying
on a soft fluffy blanket…in a beautiful meadow on a warm sunny day….and lying here
on your back…on this cozy soft blanket…looking up at the blue sky…with soft fluffy clouds
that are slowly drifting by…enjoying the warmth of the sun on you skin… Feel your body relaxing…as the rays of the
healing sun bathe over your entire body…and I wonder if you can imagine this feeling of
relaxation and warmth spread over you…from the top of your head…all the way down to
the tips of your toes…soothing…calming…relaxation…preparing you gently for a dreamy deep sleep…this
warmth takes away all the tension…all your cares and worries from your day…taking it
all away…its all gone…just let it go… It is such a wonderful feeling…to feel this
peaceful isn’t it…so relaxed…so calm…so peaceful…enjoying this soothing experience… Feeling so deeply relaxed…and your body
feeling heavier and heavier…you may even notice the heaviness of your body giving way…sinking
deeper and deeper…that’s right…deeper and deeper into your soft soft blanket… And as you sinker deeper into this feeling
of trance…know that your subconscious mind is listening very very carefully…to every
word I say…and you can feel yourself relaxing more and more and more…that’s right…feeling
more and more sleepy…because you are safe…and you know this…as you follow my voice…because
you know it will take you deeper and deeper in to sleep…so you can let go and be at
ease…you are safe to relax…you are safe to let go… You are drifting deeper and deeper…with
every word I speak…more and more relaxed…that’s right…more and more at peace… And as you rest in this comfort and peace…we
will go even deeper now together…on this peaceful sleep journey to a dreamy of trance… And now before you…is a soft carpeted stairway…a
stairway that will take into the world of dreams…see the stairway…right there in
front of you…see the firm hand rail…and each of the 10 steps that will lead you down…that’s
right only 10 steps…leading you down and down and down…into the most peaceful sleep…the
most peaceful restful sleep you’ve had in a very long time…a rejuvenating sleep…a
sleep that will revitalize your energy for when you awake… And we can go down these steps together…yes…I
will count the steps each time you step down…and each you step down…the feeling of relaxation
will deepen…more and more….and with each step down…the sleepier and sleepier you
will become… So when you’re ready…gently place your
hand on the banister…notice what the banister feels like under hand….and as you slowly
descend I will count down each step from 10 to 1… Take the first step down now…10…deeply
relaxed and at ease…9…8…more and more comfortable and relaxed…7…6…getting
sleepier and sleepier…5…4…so sleepy with each step you take…3…almost at the
bottom now…2…very very sleep…and now at 1…see yourself releasing your hand from
the banister standing now at the bottom of these steps…feeling so comfortable and at
peace…relaxed and at ease… Imagine feeling so deeply relaxed…that you
can allow the stairs behind and your every day cares and concerns just to fade away…further
and further away…more and more…as you settle into this easy and relaxed state of
being… Now look up ahead…and just a few feet away…you
can see a door… and the door is closed…but that’s OK…because you can open the door…this
door is here just for you……and you are so eager to find out what’s behind this
door…because you know that there is something there for you…something wonderful…a safe
space that’s just for you…a space that is comfortable and that will help you feel
even more relaxed… And so go ahead now and open the door…feel
your hand on the door knob…feel the coolness of the brass knob in your hand…turn it…and
now push the door open..and now walk through…close the door very gently behind you…and you
find yourself in a room…a room that you find restful and peaceful…and everything
about this room feels just perfect…the soft warm lighting makes the space feel safe and
cozy…just the way you like it… And right there in front of you…is a big
comfy bed…and it looks so inviting…soft pillows and soft blankets…just perfect for
you…and you know that this bed is here just for you…and you step over closer to the
bed… You know this room very well…and you feel
safe here…so you can just relax and settle into the bed…just lie back and continue
to relax… Enjoy how cozy and comfortable it feels as
you slide under the covers…crisp clean white cotton sheets…as you snuggle down…and
the clean sheets feel amazing against your skin… feel the soft pillow under our head…so
cozy…so comfortable… You know you are safe here…and you know
that this is a place where you can sleep as much as you want…and you can visit this
place in your mind any time you need to…because this place is you special sleep space…filled
with wonderful feelings of serenity…tranquility…peace and comfort… And you begin to feel a pleasant feeling of
drowsiness beginning to spread from your head…all the way down to your toes…feeling sleepier
and sleepier… And with each passing moment…you drift deeper
and deeper into a deep relaxing sleep…deeper and more comfortable than you have felt in
a very long long time… And even though you are feeling so deeply
relaxed at this level of sleep trance…you can sink even deeper and deeper…and as I
count from 1 to 5 and you will become twice more sleepy… 1…2…3…4…5… Now you are twice as deeply asleep…much
more deeply asleep than you were before…but as as deeply asleep you are…you can sink
down even more deeply…10 times more deeply asleep…and as I count down down down from
1 to 5…you will become 10 times more deeply asleep… 1…2…3…4…5… You are now 10 times more deeply asleep than
you were before…you are now in a deep deep deep peaceful state…and you find yourself
drifting…more and more relaxed…as these deep feelings of comfort and relaxation continue
to grow and spread… And remember…the body follows the mind…so
when you quietly say to yourself…I am calm…relaxed and asleep…I am calm relaxed and asleep…you
will find that you are calm…relaxed and asleep… And as my voice begins to fade…you will
continue to this deep sleep journey on your own…feeling calm relaxed and asleep…

Beautiful work Joanne, I woke up at 5 yesterday morning and struggled to get back to sleep until I saw you'd uploaded and started listening. I was asleep within five minutes.
