Meditation for Labor & Natural Childbirth – How to Meditate for Beginners – BEXLIFE


Hey mamas. It’s Bex here. Welcome to another
video in my series You Have Four Minutes for Meditation. Today’s meditation is for childbirth
and labor. [Music] I want this process to be as effective and
as peaceful as possible for you. So I provided an additional link in the video description
for a downloadable version of this video. This video is appropriate during your entire
pregnancy and especially during your birthing time. So as soon as you start feeling any
pangs that you’re getting ready to have a baby, go ahead and listen to this video. Don’t worry about having your legs crossed
or your hands being in any particular position. This meditation can be used in absolutely
any circumstance. It’s going to be short. So you can continue to just use the tools
and the cues for as long as you would like after we’re done. I’m just going to leave you into some music,
so you can continue right up into the point your baby arrives. Right now, just go ahead
and close your eyes and start paying attention to your breath. Pay attention to where it is in this very
moment. No need to manipulate it or change it in any way. Easy inhales and exhales. Your
breath is a reminder that you are safe in this moment. You are alive and safe and everything
is working as it should. Everything that you’re feeling in this moment
is normal and everything that’s happening is in service to bringing your baby closer
to you. Follow these breathing cues and repeat these words either silently or aloud at your
own pace. Inhale, peace. Exhale, release all tension.
Inhale, peace. Exhale, release all tension from the face, your jaw, and your shoulders.
Inhale, peace. Exhale, feel your entire body relax. If you’re feeling any pressure in this moment,
any discomfort in your body, just allow it. Don’t fight it. Everything is normal in
this moment. You are safe and your baby is safe. Every sensation, no matter how intense,
is in service to your healthy birth. Everything you’re feeling, no matter how intense, is
in service to bringing your baby closer to you. Inhale, peace. Exhale, release all tension.
Inhale, peace. Exhale, release all tension from the muscles in your face, your jaw, and
your shoulders. Go ahead and open your hands. Allow your fingers to stretch out. Everything
in your body is easy. Ride any sensation like a wave. Everything that’s happening in this
moment is normal and of service to you and your baby. Every sensation, no matter how intense, is
in service to bringing your baby closer to you. Now I would like you to imagine your
favorite color, a color that makes you feel calm, that reminds you of a safe space. Imagine
that color over at the top of your head swirling like an orb. Now imagine it stretching and
cascading down your face, over your shoulders. This orb expands to surround your entire body.
It cradles you like your womb cradles your baby and holds your baby in a safe space. You’re also being held in this safe space.
When your sensations, when your pressure waves become intense, allow this orb to cradle you
as well, to give you a hug as well. You and your baby are being hugged and supported energetically.
Your baby is receiving cues to come closer to you, to meet you on the other side. All of these feelings are in service to bringing
your baby closer to you. You are supported energetically in this moment. You are safe
and all is well. Everything you’re feeling is normal and in service to you and your baby.
You are strong. You are supported. You are safe. You are at peace. Your body is working
just as it should. All is normal. You are safe. Your baby is safe. Imagine this colorful orb surrounding you,
protecting you and holding you gently. When you feel waves of pressure, just imagine being
hugged and supported by this beautiful orb. Imagine your baby being hugged and supported
by your womb. All of these gentle hugs are signaling your baby that it’s time to meet
you. This beautiful orb protects you from all negativity,
from all harm. You are safe and loved and supported in this moment. You are entering
a divine sisterhood. You can feel all of the wonderful, loving energy of all the women
all over the world who are doing just what you are right now in this moment, bringing
forth life, being so powerful in their roles as mothers. Feel the energy of all the women all over
the world, doing just what you’re doing right now. Feel loved and supported by them
and send the love back. Inhale, love. Exhale, power. Inhale, love. Exhale, power. You are a strong mama. Your body is doing
just what it’s supposed to. Your baby is being called to you with every breath, with
every pressure wave, with every sensation. The more intense, the stronger the signal.
Continue these inhales and exhales, recalling your words. Inhale, peace and love. Exhale,
release and sending power. Feel all of the energy from all your sisters
all around the world. Their energy is holding you and supporting you in love. You are strong
and powerful and perfect in this moment. Your beautiful orb of color is holding you in love.
It is supporting you. It is giving you a great big hug. Your baby is being held and supported
and hugged by your womb. Everything that’s happening in this moment
is in divine service to bringing your baby closer to you. You are safe. You are at peace.
Everything is working as it should.

  2. Hi Bex….This is great! I am waiting to go into labour anyday now! I would love to be able to put this on my ipod for listening in the hopsital? Is there anychance I could get it in an mp3 format?

  3. Thank you for this video! Some of the pregnancy meditations out there can be a little cheesy but this has the perfect balance of relaxation and sentiment. It is my favourite.
